Artist Pham Chinh Trung - Turning The Unreal Into Reality
This time we had a great chance to work with one of the most famous lacquer artist in Vietnam - Painter Pham Chinh Trung who has spent more than 40 years learning about Vietnamese Maki-e and has created many amazing artworks which can barely be explained by any word.
Artist Pham Chinh Trung has been well-known for maki-e lacquer drawings which mostly reflect the very tradition of Vietnamese art and people. Many of artworks by Pham Chinh Trung have been used for the national as well as international exhibitions. Here are some of those great artworks.
Seeing these artworks more time ensured that this would never be a wrong decision to have Vietnamese Maki-e on our products, especially the maki-e which is made by a very famous and dedicated artist like Mr. Pham Chinh Trung
Wancher Pens with Maki-e Lacquer by artist Pham Chinh Trung
The pen body was polished with urushi lacquer, painted with maki-e and polished again to become such an amazing art form. Each of the steps requires a lot of hard word and effort from the artist as only a very tiny mistake will ruin the whole artwork.
Using Vietnamese traditional images and suggestions from artist Le Thanh Thai, we have applied various art forms to our pen bodies and finally we this beautiful fountain pen collection.
